The Light Brother's Lighting Discount is an ecommerce website for quality lighting, ceiling fans and home furnishings. VIA designed and programmed the site, built the backend database, and entered the initial 900+ products into the store's catalog.
In addition to a product search and shopping cart, the site includes lighting resources, a project notebook, gift registry, and gift certificates.
VIA also developed the Light Brother's retail store point-of-sale software.
Shopping Cart
VIA built a standard ecommerce shopping cart for the Lighting Discount. Customers can add, remove, and change the quantity of items in their cart. If the customer's browser has cookies enabled, they can leave the site and return without losing items in their cart or project notebook. The checkout process is secure and a receipt is emailed automatically to confirm the order. Afterwards the customer can check the order status online to see the date that each item was shipped.
